We're Going on a Square Hunt is the 22nd episode of the fourth series of Numberblocks. It is the 82nd episode overall.
Synopsis[]
The squares explore an ancient temple in search of a really, really big square.
Plot[]
The episode starts out with Square Club, consisting of One, Four, Nine, and Sixteen, reciting their Square Club motto. They soon realise they have no idea where they are, when Twenty-One finds them and is glad they got her message. Twenty-One states she thinks she found the secret behind finding an even bigger square than Sixteen: A mysterious temple.
Entering the temple, they find a wall of cave carvings in stone of each of the squares, with their square roots above them: One made of one One, Four made of the Terrible Twos, and so on. They find the square larger than Sixteen, but unfortunately, all of the pieces have fallen off, so they must put the pieces back together themselves. They figure out how to do so by finding a pattern: One lot of one makes a square, two lots of two make a square, and so on. So the picture that comes after four lots of four should be five lots of five, and the squares successfully arrange a 5 by 5 square of tiles.
The club members count the number of tiles in the square, growing more hesitant as the number exceeds Twenty. There are twenty-five tiles in the square, so they now have to check whether Twenty-Five is a square number. Twenty-One finds a Magic Mirror to the right of them, where she splits into Twenty and One. The One uses the mirror to make four more copies of herself, then, in front of the other squares, the Ones add onto Twenty until they reach Twenty-Five. The squares are about to welcome Twenty-Five to Square Club; however, since the new number isn't in a square shape, the others are not so sure that Twenty-Five really is a square.
Doubtful, Sixteen encourages the members to recite the Square Club motto, in which they repeat that they are each X lots of X. Taking after them, Twenty-Five rearranges to be 5 by 5, confirming that they are in fact a square. Twenty-Five then figures herself out, taking on her figured-out square arrangement. Twenty-Five is a really, really big square who can make patterns, demonstrating this by following a bunch of colourful tile patterns on a nearby wall and copying their colours. One points out that they found Twenty-Five by following a pattern, to which Twenty-Five states they can keep following the pattern. The episode ends with the squares excited to find six lots of six, seven lots of seven, eight lots of eight, and nine lots of nine.

Trivia[]
- The title of this episode is based on the book "We're Going on a Bear Hunt".
- When One adds with Twenty to make Twenty-One again, Twenty's hat and staff disappear out of the blue.
- This is the second episode where a Numberblock doesn't sing after being debuted.
- This episode ends with Square Club wanting to find out 6×6, 7×7, 8×8, and 9×9, (Not 10x10, who’ll later debut in five episodes) foreshadowing two Series 5 episodes, Steps Versus Squares and Square on the Moon.
- This is the first time where a bigger Numberblock gets figured out before a smaller Numberblock; in this episode for instance, Twenty-Five got figured out, and Twenty-Three and Twenty Four only got figured out in How Rectangly!.
- Twenty-Five makes her debut both as a compound and figured out.
- When the Numberblocks were counting Twenty-Five's squares on the wall, they counted in the same rhythm as I Can Count to Twenty.
