“ | I'm like you, Purple, but a bit more blue. | ” |
— Violet, Rainbow |
Violet is a character that appears in Colourblocks.[1]
Appearance
Violet is a violet frustum, slightly less pointy than Purple. She wears a violet helmet with a rainbow on its side showing the colours indigo and violet. She also wears a violet watch and violet boots.
From It's a Colourful World onwards, her rainbow now has all seven colours.
Personality
Violet is very much like Indigo. She is never seen apart from him. Both of them love to find new rainbows, and can get disappointed if something prevents them from doing so. She is nice, enthusiastic and outgoing.
Meet the Rainbow Chasers - Indigo, who says he's "like Blue but a bit more Purple", and Violet, who says she's "A little bit Purple, but a bit more Blue". These friends of Purple share a passion for rainbows and long to see one.

Trivia
- As confirmed in her bio with Indigo, they are both good friends with Purple.
- Her name, Violet, is also a human name.
- She could perhaps be the gender bent version of Purple, although she is more blue.
- She, Indigo and Brown are the only three Colourblocks to permanently wear boots as a part of their design.
- In Series 2, Violet's helmet, watch, and boots changed to be the exact same colour as her.
- She and Indigo had never been seen apart, indicating that they may be best friends.
- They also could be siblings.
- Whether Violet is a tertiary, quaternary or pale Colourblock are arguable.
- She is said to be a quaternary in "Purple's Mural Makeover" and "The Return of the Sorting Express" because she said she's purple with a bit of blue as to indigo, a for sure quaternary, being blue with a bit of purple.
- Violet is tertiary according to many sources.[2] The quarternary Violet (Bluish-Purple) could be another violet not specifically her. This can be proven with the above former episode, "Orange's Gym", and "Many Mixes Make Brown" where the titular Colourblocks in the respective episode saw how different ways to make a colour won't give the same result. In other words, they saw their colour, but it's not their specific colour. And it was shown in Series 1 that different mixes can still make the representing Colourblock. For example, in Orange's Gym, Red and Yellow learn that their mix wasn't as bright as Orange's colour yet they were still able to summon her in mixing segments. So Violet being a tertiary wouldn't really affect any (or many) plot holes.
- Many people also view her as a pale purple, but it is never actually shown in the show.

- ↑ This is seen to be true in real life, too. When mixing equal amounts of blue and purple paint, it is practically violet. However, Colourblocks may see her as quaternary, so it's still arguable.
