Twelve: I.... am Twelve. I am 3 by 4. I am a rectangle. Turn! I am also 4 by 3.

Six and Eight: Ooh! Ah.

Twelve: And I am a super rectangle! I can take many forms! Switch! I am 6 by 2! Turn! I am 2 by 6! I am a rectangle! Welcome, my friends. Would you like to master the way of the rectangle?

Six and Eight: [gasp]

Twelve: First, you need to stand so your front makes rectangle shape. Watch and tell me when I'm making a rectangle.

Six and Eight: No.

Six and Eight: No.

Six and Eight: Yes!

Twelve: Well done! Now, look at your own fronts. What shape are you making?

Six and Eight: I'm a...rectangle!

Twelve: That's right. Your blocks are arranged in neat columns and rows. Now, concentrate on how wide you are.

Six: I am Six. I am...two blocks wide...by...three blocks tall. I am two by three. I am a rectangle! Wheeheehee!

Eight: Ah. I am Eight. I am two blocks wide...by four blocks tall. I am two by four. I am a rectangle! Up, up, and away!

Six: Whaaa!

[Six runs into Eight and they collide into a gong.]

Four: Oh! I heard a bang! Are you okay, Six?

Six: I'm more than okay. I've mastered the way— Hey! Where are my rays?

Twelve: [chuckling] You need to concentrate. It gets easier with practice. So let's practice! It's time for...the Turn!

Twelve: I am Twelve. I am three by four. Which means...turn! I am also four by three. See?

Four: Oooooh!

Six and Eight: Ah!

Six: I am Six. I am two by three! Which means...turn! I am also three by two! Hoohoohoohoo!

Eight: I am Eight. I am two by four! Which means...Octoblock, turn! I am also four by two!

Six: Turn! Two by three! Turn! Three by two! Turn! Turn! Tuuuuurn! [giggles]

Four: Oh! Let me try that! I am Four! I am two blocks wide by two blocks tall! I am two by two!

Six: Yay!

Eight: Haha!

Four: And I am also...Turn! Umm...two by two? That's the same again! Did I go wrong?

Twelve: [chuckling] No, Four. You're a special kind of rectangle, that is the same number of blocks, as tall!

Four: A SQUARE! A SQUARE!

[Four rides his rays into Three and Two.]

Two, Three, and Four: Oof! Ow.

Three: Hey, hey, hey! What's all this?

Six: Look at us and be amazed, we all have rectangle rays!

Two: Ohhh...

Three: Hmm! It's all right for some. I can't make big, wide rectangles!

Twelve: Whoever said rectangles had to be wide?

Two and Three: Oh...Twelve: Numberblocks, stand tall! Now, what shape are you making?

Three: Oh, uhh...

Two: A rectangle!

Three, Four, Six, and Eight: [gasp]! A tall, thin rectangle!

Two, Three, Four, Six, and Eight: I am one block wide, and I am...

Two: Two!

Three: Three!

Four: Four!

Six: Six!

Eight: Eight!

Two, Three, Four, Six, and Eight: ...blocks tall! I am a rectangle!

[They start whooping as they ride on their rays.]

Twelve: Maybe I shouldn't have told them!

Three: Whee!!

Twelve: Oh well. Too late now. Hup!

[They all ride around, having fun.]
