Snow is the fifth episode of the sixth series of Alphablocks. It is the 111th episode in the series overall.

Synopsis[]

Finding Alphablock N at a loose end, Letter Team OW (as in ‘blow’) helps him find new things to do. They play in the SNOW and SLOW down snowballs so that N can dodge them more easily. They build a MAN out of snow, but he is very small, so they make him GROW. As he gets bigger, the snowman comes alive and starts to dance. Soon, to the delight of the Alphablocks, he is putting on a spectacular SHOW. What a showman! N has never had a nicer day.

Trivia[]

  • This episode aired 8 years after "Fluffies".
  • Man is the only word spelled that doesn't have digraph OW.
  • This is the 2nd episode where OW says “ō”.
    • The first was "Glow", but they only said it when sounding out the titular word.
  • The levelling of this episode is arguable.
    • It could be a level 3 because the only team that appears is 'ow', which is a level 3 team.
    • It could be a level 4 because ignoring 'ow', the words 'snow', 'slow', and 'grow' are made. Those words have consonant blends.
    • It could be a level 5 because it features an alternate pronunciation for 'ow', which is what the Phonics Phase 5, what Alphablocks Level 5 was based on, introduces.

Errors[]

  • Throughout the episode, O in digraph OW speaks in words instead of only his sound. Though, this might have been intended, so O could learn to speak instead of just saying his sound.
