Silly Colouring is the ninth episode of the first series of Colourblocks. It is the ninth episode overall.

Synopsis

The Colourblocks discover that it can be fun to colour things wrong.

Silly Colouring

Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue are preparing a picnic. Green colours the grass, Red colours the flowers, Blue colours the sky and Yellow colours his picnic basket, which he pulls a giant picnic blanket out of. Red attempts to colour the entire thing red, but only some of it changes colour, and the others figure out that the blanket needs to be a pattern of several colours. Red gets hungry from the colouring, and the Colourblocks begin to colour their food. Strawberries are coloured red, bananas are coloured yellow, and some pears are coloured green, when Blue gets the idea to colour some food blue. The Colourblocks decide it would be funny to colour the banana a "Silly colour", and Blue colours it blue. The banana starts spinning and flying around, and Red gets tired chasing it.

The Colourblocks then decide to do some more silly colouring. Yellow colours the strawberries yellow, and they start popping like popcorn. Red colours the grass red, and it turns bouncy. Green colours the clouds green, and they start raining odd green bubbles, which Red starts popping. The playing around makes Red's stomach growl, as she is hungry again. The scene transitions with green bubbles as everything is restored back to their normal colours, and Red is relieved that the bananas are yellow. Green states that it's good to colour things the colour they're meant to be, but Blue adds that it's cool to have silly colouring time too. When Yellow agrees with him, the blue banana appears again to chase Red, and the episode ends.

Trivia

• If you watch carefully at the end of the episode, Yellow looks like he's calling someone on a banana.
• Blue almost tried a banana in this episode, which he later mentioned in A Plate of Many Colours.
• Red peeked into the picnic basket earlier when Yellow is unrolling the blanket.
• Yellow’s thinking pose is similar to the one he makes in It's a Grey Day.

Errors

• When Red was colouring the strawberries the correct colour, Green forgets to colour the stems at the top of the strawberries.
