Well, Red, it looks like there are two colours in the world.

— Blue

Red Meets Blue is the fourth episode of the first series of Colourblocks. It is the fourth episode overall.

Synopsis[]

Red is surprised to discover that she's not the only colour in the world when she meets Blue. Join the Colourblocks to learn which objects can be red and which can be blue, and how some can be both red and blue.

Plot[]

Red runs around and excitedly colours lots of flowers red. She pauses when she stumbles across a lot of flowers that aren't coloured red, but blue. Excited and curious to find where they come from, Red runs and passes by lots of blue flowers until she meets Blue.

Blue and Red introduce themselves to each other. Blue shows Red some blueberries, prompting the two of them to take turns colouring things with their colour. Red colours ladybirds and a big red bus, whilst blue colours in the sky.

Red finds a parrot in a tree she wants to colour in, but she can't reach it. Blue flies up with a balloon to reach it, but his colour doesn't cover the whole parrot. Red concludes that this means the parrot is both blue and red, and she begins colouring the rest of the parrot red. However, it begins taking off before she finishes, and she chases it around.

Blue offers the parrot blueberries so that it stays still and Red can finish colouring it. Red is tired from chasing the parrot, so Blue sits with her in his small blue pool. The both of them, now friends, conclude that there are two colours in the world: Red and Blue. That is, until a rubber duck of a third colour suddenly appears...

Characters[]

Trivia[]

  • This is the first Colourblocks episode with more than one character. The previous three episodes have only one character each.
  • This is the first Colourblocks episode where Colourblocks meet each other.
  • When Red and Blue see Yellow's rubber duck appear, this foreshadows the next episode.
  • The Colourblocks YouTube Channel says this is the 3rd episode, even though Yellow is actually the 3rd episode chronologically.
  • Coincidentally, Red says "Red" repetitively in a part of this episode, just like how in Pattern Palace, a Numberblocks episode, One says "Red" repetitively in a part of the episode.
  • This episode marks the second instance a bird pops a balloon in the Learningblocks saga. The first being Up.
  • This is the second episode where Red loses her temper.
  • Ironically enough, Red and Blue wear water wings, despite Blue's paddling pool being short.
  • Red and Blue are the only Colourblocks to share their names with Alphablocks episodes.
