Now You See Us is the second episode of the fifth season of Numberblocks. It is the 92nd episode overall.

Synopsis[]

The Numberblocks discover a magic spell that makes them all invisible. Uh-oh!

Plot[]

The Numberblocks 1-9 are in the Numberblock Castle while it was raining. The rain soon ends and a rainbow forms, exciting Seven. Nine is upset that he doesn't have exciting colours, only grey, when Seven suddenly opens a door to an area of the castle. When inside, they find a wizard's den with a spellbook.

They find a wand that they can draw their Numberlings with. As they do so, they become that number's respective amount of colours. First, One draws her number, and all of the Numberblocks turn red. Three draws her number next, turning all of them red, orange, and yellow. Nine then turns everyone nine different, vivid colors.

Zero comes along and draws her Numberling, causing all of the Numberblocks to become invisible. They also drop the now invisible wand in the process, and cannot use it to restore their colors. The spellbook reads that they will return back to their normal colours if they draw their Numberlings with a quill next to the spellbook. The Numberblocks return to the bookcases outside the room, which contain their numberlings, so they can demonstrate how to draw each number and restore their visibility.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first episode released in 2021 where Zero appears, and the only episode that only features all the single-digit numbers (including 0).
    • This is also her second appearance by chronological order.
  • Ten is absent in this episode, and Nine is the biggest Numberblock in this episode.
    • This is the third time Nine is the biggest Numberblock in an episode: The first is Nine, and the second is The Wrong Number (if you don't count the Eleven cameo)
  • The name of this episode comes from Sixty's High Score when the Ten Nines said "Now you see us!"
    • This quote comes from the catchphrase "Now you see us, now you don't".
  • The coloured books from Peekaboo returned in the episode.
  • S is mentioned in this episode, when Eight is doing his counterspell. L was mentioned in this show’s Four.
  • Pause at 4:22, you can see nine has his pupils dilated.
  • Most viewers believed this episode taught fractions mainly because of the rainbow colours of the Numberblocks, but fractions are not directly involved with this episode.
    • It is confirmed that fractions have been taught in What If?
  • This is the 92nd episode of Numberblocks, so in terms of number of normal episodes, Numberblocks have beaten Alphablocks that has only 91 normal episodes.
  • This is the first time Numberblocks Two to Nine (except Seven, who changed colours during his debut episode) appear in a different colour.
    • Eleven dark blue Ones appeared in Twenty-One and On.
    • Seven Threes appeared later in Hidden Talents to help "a circus in need of rainbow jugglers" in different colours (one each of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet).
      • This is the second Numberblock Castle cameo. Interestingly, this is also the second time Seven has leaned into and opened a door within Numberblock Castle.

Errors[]

  • When Four says “Sorry, that was me!”, the Netflix subtitles mistake it, saying Eight said it.
