Learningblocks, also known as the Blocks Universe friends[1], are the main protagonists of the Blocks Universe franchise. There are four types of Learningblocks, each based on an educational concept. The Alphablocks are based on the alphabet, phonics, and spelling. The Numberblocks are based on numbers and math. The Colourblocks are based on colour and art. The Wonderblocks are based on coding, logic and problem solving.

Alphablocks

Alphablocks are a species in Alphaland and the main characters of the show of the same name.

Their bodies are rounded coloured rectangular prisms, with a glass dome on top. The domes contain letters in them, aptly called Letters, which by default are lowercase but can change to uppercase if the block concentrates well. Alphablocks have human-like faces with short limbs with mitten-like hands. All vowels have stripes, while all the consonants (except for T) don't. Y’s status can change at any time. Alphablocks have the ability to create words while holding hands. When they do so, Word Magic happens.

Aliens

Aliens are species like the Alphablocks, but are different. They are green in colour, have googly eyes, can change their letters, and have three eyes.

The It is a form similar to the Alphablocks, but is red and has no dome.

Numberblocks

Numberblocks are a species in Numberland and the main characters of the show of the same name.

They have the exact number of cubes as the value of their Numberling (the number that floats above their head).

Inherited traits are common with mathematics, here are the examples:

  • Step squads (triangular numbers) wear a mask.
  • Square numbers have square eyes (excluding 1, 900, and 90,000) (Although 1 is shown to have a square eye in two episodes)
  • Super rectangles have rectangular eyes (excluding magnitudes of non-super rectangles or squares)
  • Super rectangles have array displays (excluding 64)
  • Colours depending on place value (e.g. 26 is tan and indigo because 20 and 6 are)
  • Similar appearances to their magnitude (like 70 looks like 7)
  • Times table finishers during Series 7 (as well as 35) resemble their multiples. (like 63 resembling a grey rainbow and 54 playing 3x3 grid games)
    • They also have Alter-Egos respective to that if they resemble it.

Numberblocks have the ability to turn into other Numberblocks by operating: adding is when 2 or more numbers jump onto one another, subtracting a when they split their blocks into smaller numbers, multiplying is when a number of the same number make a multiple, and dividing is when they divide into equal parts.

Colourblocks

Colourblocks are the main species of Colourland and the main characters of the show of the same name.

There are three rules as to how they are shaped:

  • Mixed hues share traits of the shapes of what colours mix to them (Orange has a pointy top like Red, and a curved bottom like Yellow).
  • All shades of grey are circles with circular hands, and no mouth (e.g. Black and White).
  • Lighter Colourblocks are taller than their brighter variation, darker Colourblocks are shorter than their brighter variation.

Colourblocks have the ability to colour objects based on their own colour. When two or more Colourblocks team up to colour something, their colours mix.

Wonderblocks

Wonderblocks are the main species of Wonderland and the main characters of the show of the same name. Each of the main Wonderblocks have a unique shape, while Do Blocks are square.

Wonderblocks have the ability to create scripts. They use Wonder Magic to make other people do things based on the blocks used on said script.

The animals in Wonderblocks are the characters who are affected by the scripts that the Wonderblocks make.
