It's a Colourful Christmas is the first episode of Series 2 of Colourblocks and the 31st episode overall. It is considered a Special on streaming and in that case it’s the 13th Learningblocks special overall.

The Colourblocks are getting festive as they celebrate the colours of Christmas.

  • This is the first special episode of Colourblocks, and the 13th Learningblocks special episode overall.
  • This is the first Christmas special of Colourblocks, and the third Learningblocks Christmas special overall.
  • This is the shortest special Learningblocks episode, only lasting 5 minutes, the same as a regular Learningblocks episode. This is because this episode is also meant to be the first episode of Series 2. However, it is not shown with the other Series 2 episodes on BBC iPlayer, instead being in a Specials section.
  • This is the only special episode in 2023.
  • Just like other Learningblocks specials, this episode doesn't have a level.
  • Pink, Cyan, Magenta, Grey, Indigo, Violet, Light Grey, and Dark Grey are absent in this episode.
    • Although Indigo's colour appears.
      • This is also the only special to not have an official logo and to be part of the main series.
  • Blue doesn’t speak throughout the entire episode. He isn’t even shown dancing at the end. This is probably because he didn’t colour anything to do with Christmas.
    • This may be because in a 2022 Twitter post of Colourblocks, he was shown celebrating Hanukkah, a Jewish holiday. Christmas is a Christian holiday so it would be understandable he would be absent.
    • However, he does appear as cameos; in the beginning, when Red screams "COLOURBLOCKS!!!", and at the the end, before she says "I can't sleep, I'm too excited!".
  • This episode mentions the colours Gold and Silver, despite neither of them ever appearing as Colourblocks.
    • This might mean that Colourblocks Gold and Silver will eventually appear in the future.
    • Ironically, the Colourblocks know what Gold and Silver are.
    • However, they still didn't say anything about Bronze, meaning that they’re the only colour out of the three not mentioned in this episode.
  • Brown's lips have gotten darker since this episode.
  • This is the second episode in which the title begins with 'It's a Colourful-', with the first being It's a Colourful World, the episode that aired before it.
