— One

Ice and Dice is the third episode of the sixth series of Numberblocks. It is the 123rd episode overall.

Synopsis[]

One, Two and Three use a dice-making machine to figure out how to give everyone a fair go. They explore the properties of dice and mathematical fairness.

Characters[]

Math Magic[]

  • 3 + 2 + 1 = 6
  • 6 = 1 + 2 + 3

Trivia[]

  • This episode aired exactly twelve years after Up.
  • This episode is to teach children about probability but in a more simple way.
  • Only factors of 6 appear in this episode.
  • A sneak-peek of the episode was uploaded to CBeebies’ official website which can be found here.
  • This episode mainly features Numberblocks One, Two, and Three, and coincidentally this is the 123rd episode, if you ignore the specials.
  • The last sentence is the same as How Rectangly!, but Three says it instead of Twenty-Two.
  • Despite the episode being a Level 2 about probability, multiplication terms were said.
    • One said the phrase lots of, which is a wordy way to say times. "We asked for a dice with 1 lot of 1, 2 lots of 2, and 3 lots of 3."
    • Two said the word times to Three. "No wonder you had to tidy up three times as many dice as One."
    • This may have misled kids that the Numberblocks are talking about multiplication rather than probability.
    • A better way One and Two could've said their lines would have been "We asked for a dice with one face for me, two faces for Two, and three faces for Three." and "No wonder you had tidy up way more dice than us."
