— Forty-Eight

Forty-Eight, or 48, is a Numberblock made of 48 blocks. She is voiced by Nneka Okoye.

Appearance

Forty-Eight has 40 light green blocks with green borders and 8 magenta blocks. She has indigo rectangle eyes and a magenta mouth with teeth similar to Four or Forty. One of her eyebrows is an indigo 2×3 rectangle—resembling Six, and the other is a magenta 2×4 rectangle—resembling Eight. She can glow her eyebrows on command. Her right arm is indigo, her left arm is magenta, her right leg is magenta and her left leg is indigo. She also has an array display as she has 10 factors.

Personality

Forty-Eight is a lively Numberblock who, like Twenty-Four, is always ready for anything. She takes pride in racing with others and is very competitive, as in Rescue Racers, she said it’d be more fun with someone to race against.

Forty-Eight has two different eyebrows corresponding to the Numberblocks she splits into. For example, she glows her left indigo eyebrow and splits into eight chunky Sixes, and her right magenta eyebrow makes her split into six chunky Eights, which makes her helpful and even heroic in episodes such as Rescue Racers and We Need Another Hero when she uses her six chunky Eights, helping the six Sevens out of trouble and giving white block fruit to Blockzilla.

Trivia

  • She is the second Numberblock to have 10 factors, the first being Eighty.
  • She is the second multiple of Twenty-Four to get figured out, with the first being Twenty-Four herself.
  • She is the first Numberblock to get figured out in Series 7.
  • She seems to be best friends with Forty-Two.
  • She is the second Numberblock whose main arrangement's width is wider than its height is tall, the first is Thirty-One.
    • She's also the first Numberblock whose main arrangement is a rectangle that's wider than it's tall, the second being Fifty-Four.
  • She is the second female character to be an 8 ender, with the first being Twenty-Eight.
  • She is the twelfth Numberblock to be the opposite gender of her digit addends, Forty and Eight.
    • She is one of the few Numberblocks to be the opposite gender of both their digits, after 13, 24, 27, 28, 31, 35, 36, 49, 55, 63 and 72.
  • She might be classified as an "extra super duper rectangle" to her factor kind, because in Rescue Racers, she said: "Well it's extra super duper to meet you, Forty-Two!".
  • She has appeared in 3.4% of Numberblocks episodes, including the crossover episodes.
  • Even though she has 10 factors, we only see her make two rectangular arrangements: 6×8 and 8×6.
  • It is possible that when she splits into two Twenty-Fours, they have signs on them representing Saturday and Sunday, just like when Twenty-Four splits into 2 Twelves, they have signs representing day and night, and she did say in her debut moment "Together we can keep racing, all weekend", just like Twenty-Four's day and night and Twelve's day.
  • She is the last Numberblock representing a "highly composite number" below 100 to debut in the show, and the first to debut since Thirty-Six in 2021.
