• The episode's title originates from the term "first things first".
• This episode was long-thought to be the Series 1 finale, but 15 extra episodes were somehow greenlit, and also an entire fifth season for Alphablocks.
• The end of the episode references the first Wonderblocks episode, as well as a few episodes after it.
• This is the third and final time in Series 1a where no Do-Blocks appear.
