T was teaching the vowels to sing by using their letter sounds. P then pops it, and finds their singing "perfectly pitched". She then tells them to play off, but the vowels were off-track, and U called it "unpleasant". O also finds it unpleasant. So much so that he needed to cover his ears and leave the other vowels behind. T says that their singing is "too loud, too high", but I said that she can go higher. O bumps into P, and they, alongside T, hold hands to make a word.

t-o-p, TOP!

This word made all of the Alphablocks rise up. T called it a "terrific view". E says his name with his megaphone, and then calls it an "excellent echo". I likes singing high notes, but this isn't what she had imagined. A says at least they're as high up as they can get. She also accidently bumps into U, and U held hands with P, forming a word.

u-p, UP!

A spring appeared below A, launching her up into the sky. She finds it entertaining. I "wanted to be highest", making her jealous of A.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first episode where the Alphablocks and the Numberblocks meet.
    • This is also technically the second episode where an Alphablock appears in a Numberblocks episode, the first being Tween Scenes (cameo).
      • In the said episode's case, F, U, and N all make cameos during Fifteen's story.
  • Even if U doesn't like Four in his vertical arrangement, there are some times where Four is in his vertical arrangement and U was fine.
  • This episode confirms that both shows are canon to each other, and that Alphaland and Numberland are two different planets entirely.
  • It was originally announced to be uploaded to the official YouTube channel on the 21st January, a week after the CBeebies release, according to a comment on the Instagram post announcing the crossover. Unfortunately, it wasn't until after the 21st they announced it was postponed several months into the summer. Luckily, it was released earlier than summer, in May, albeit unlisted, linked below in "Video".
  • Depending on your view, this is the first time since Odd where a nonsense word works, in this case the compound word Numberblocks, which isn't recorded in actual dictionaries.
  • Infinity was not just teased in the episode, it was covered. When A asked One how many Numberblocks are there, the latter said that the limit of numbers is like the edge of space, there is none. One even said out that "You can add as many of [them] as you like, you'll never reach infinity".
  • This is the last time Magic E speaks.
  • One of the things mentioned by Five is frocks, which are a type of girl's dress.
  • This is also the third episode to first air on a holiday. The first is Twoland (which aired on St. Patrick's Day), and the second is About Time (which aired on Halloween). This episode released on Valentine's Day.
  • This episode marks the return of Twenty-Three after 17 Numberblocks episodes.
  • When P stood on top of I, T remarked "That's no way to make a number! Be rational!". This is a reference to Pi being an irrational number. I then says Three started it, a pun on how Three is the first digit of Pi.
  • This is the second episode where Twenty-Six is the biggest Numberblock. The first is Hidden Talents.
  • This special reunites Lizzie Waterworth and Emma Tate, who have previously worked together on the 2006 British cartoon titled Horrid Henry as the titular character and Perfect Peter respectively.
