— Deep Blue, Deep Blue and Sky Blue |
Deep Blue, also known as Deep, is a character in Colourblocks.
Appearance
Deep Blue is the same shape as Blue but slightly wider and shorter. She also has thick eyebrows, a deep blue hat and deep blue boots. She could perhaps also be a pirate like R.
Personality
Deep Blue is adventurous and loves to drive in her submarine in the deep blue sea. She is welcoming, as seen in her debut, when she invites Blue into her submarine for the first time, and shows him around. She is friendly and helpful too, as seen in Fun with Colours, when she offers to get Red and the rest of the gang out of the island. She is seen to be good friends with Blue and Sky Blue.
Collective description with Sky Blue
These two shades of blue are adventurers always exploring the depths and heights of the world. Sky Blue’s up in the sky, where he gets the nickname: “Sky” from, and Deep Blue’s down in the deep blue sea, where the nickname “Deep” comes in mind!

Trivia
- She is the second character to be a shade with the first being Brown.
- She is the first Colourblock to be voiced by Beth Chalmers.
- She’s the seventh Colourblock to wear an outfit by default. The first two being Indigo and Violet, the third being Pink, the fourth being Brown, and the fifth and sixth being Cyan and Magenta.
- Her colour is also known as Navy Blue.
- Before she was properly introduced, her colour was shown in Lighter and Darker. It was also shown in The Sorting Express and Printing Crew to the Rescue.
- She’s one of the three Colourblocks to not have a Crayola colour named after them, the others are Dark Grey and Light Grey.
- Due to being nicknamed 'Deep' by Sky Blue, it is possible the both of them are old friends.
- She was originally thought to be a male due to a typo in the description of Deep Blue and Sky Blue but around one year later they confirmed that she's female. (note that this isn’t ambiguous because it would be nearly impossible for them to make multiple videos and posts about International Women’s Day with Deep Blue in it and not realized they misgendered her, but they also have typos in the episode descriptions such as the one in “Magic Beans”)
