C Versus K is the third episode of the fifth series of Alphablocks. It is the 94th episode in the series overall.

Synopsis[]

Alphablock C is cross when she realises that Alphablock K makes the same sound as her. To show what she can do, she conjures up a CAT in a CAP. K responds with a KID goat in sports KIT. They each want to be the only one to make their sound. They start to compete, showing off the words they can make.

Plot[]

/k/, /k/, /k/. That is the sound C creates as she claps cracks across the floor. But wait… /k/, /k/, /k/. That’s also the sound K makes when he kicks his keen ball into the air.

C is not fond of this — and neither is K. They both want to prove who uses the /k/ sound better. So, C decides to challenge K with word magic.

She calls A and T to make an animal:

C

-

A

-

T

, cat!

A cozy cat appears.

C then swaps T for P to give the cat a little fashion upgrade:

C

-

A

-

P

, cap!

A cap appears on the cat's head.

K approves of C's cat — but believes he can do better. He calls I and D to make his own animal:

K

-

I

-

D

, kid!

But not a human kid — a baby goat named Sid!

Then, to dress Sid up for football, K adds:

K

-

I

-

T

, kit!

A full football kit appears.

Both C and K admire each other's creations. They then begin listing words that start with their own letters:

C: Custard, castle, cup, comic!

K: Keyboard, koala, kite, kangaroo!

That’s when they both realize something: even though C and K make the same sound, they’re used in different words. Their letters serve different roles — and that’s what makes each one special.
