Again: Artyyy!
Arty: Oh, hello Again! I heard you wanted my help.
Again: I do, Arty, I do! Come and see! It's the grand opening of my beautiful bouncy castle today, but- it's not quite ready yet. I just love stripy patterns- the same colours again and again and again! Which is why I want, no, need, a great big colourful stripy pattern on the floor right here.
Stop: Like this! Can you help us?
Again: Please please please!
Arty: Oh, I'm not sure. It looks quite difficult. There are so many squares.
Stop: Don't worry, Arty. We've got a plan! See? We do it one row at a time, each row the same!
Arty: I see, so-
Go: Each row goes red yellow blue, red yellow blue, red yellow blue! Easy!
Arty: I'll never remember all that!
Splatting Crew: Which is where we come in!
Splat Red: Splat Red!
Splat Yellow: Splat Yellow!
Splat Blue: And Splat Blue!
Stop: The colours repeat- three times on each row.
Arty: Okay...
Again: Again, no need to worry, it's my job to remember that. Three times, three times...
[Again spawns a thought bubble.]
Arty: Oh, very useful! Let's do it!
Go: Top row first! Ready?
Arty: Ready.
Go: Go!
Splat Red: Splat Red!
Splat Yellow: Splat Yellow!
Splat Blue: Splat Blue!
Again: Again!
Splat Red: Splat Red!
Splat Yellow: Splat Yellow!
Splat Blue: Splat Blue!
Again: Again!
Splat Red: Splat Red!
Splat Yellow: Splat Yellow!
Splat Blue: Splat Blue!
Again: Done!
Stop: Stop!
Again: Excellent! A perfect match!
Arty: Yeah!
Splat Blue: [very excitedly] That square's blue! And that square's blue too! And, last comes-
[Splat Blue runs into the wall and bounces off it, landing just before Splat Red]
Stop: Oh! Are you okay Splat Blue?
Splat Blue: I'm fine! Let's keep going!
Stop: And now the middle line, exactly the same as before.
Go: Here we... Go!
Splat Blue: Splat Blue!
Splat Red: Splat Red!
Splat Yellow: Splat Yellow!
Again: Again!
Go: Oh no. What's happening?
Stop: I don't know, but- something isn't right.
Go: The colours aren't lining up!
[The code keeps running while Go and Stop talk.]
Splat Blue: Splat Blue!
Splat Red: Splat Red!
Splat Yellow: Splat Yellow!
Again: Again!
Splat Blue: Splat Blue!
Splat Red: Splat Red!
Splat Yellow: Splat Yellow!
Again: Done!
Stop: Stop!
[Everyone looks in shock as they realize the second row doesn't match the plan.]
Arty: But, I did exactly what you said!
Again: Where are the stripes? There are stripes everywhere except right here in the most important place!
Stop: I promise, we'll do our very best to fix this.
Arty: I wonder... maybe if we work out what went wrong, we can make it right! The two rows don't match, so something changed. But what?
Splat Blue: I think it was me... When we started, I was at the end of the line!
Splat Yellow: That's right! You were stood next to me!
Splat Red: Then you bounced off the wall and ended up at the front, next to me!
Again: Well then, it's no wonder the second row didn't match the first! We won't make that mistake again.
Go: I wonder... maybe we should make the same mistake again!
Everyone except Go: Huh?
Go: Well, a pattern is when you do the same thing again and again.
Stop: So if we make the same mistake again and again, would that make a pattern?
Go: The fastest way to find out is to try it and see!
Again: Let's do it. Let's make the same mistake again.
Splat Yellow: Well, I'm last in line now, so this time, I'll move to the front, making the same mistake again!
Again: [softly clapping] I've got a good feeling about this! One more time everybody!
Go: Go!
Splat Yellow: Splat Yellow!
Splat Blue: Splat Blue!
Splat Red: Splat Red!
