Bop is the eleventh episode of the second series of Alphablocks. It is the 37th episode overall.

Synopsis[]

It's big bop night at the Alphadrome, but bossy bass player B falls out with drummer D over musical differences. She doesn't need her brother to make the blocks boogie... does she?

Story[]

In Alphaland, a Big Bop is being held. B and D are performing a musical duet. However, they quickly halt their performance, as they both have trouble staying in sync—B plays smoothly, while D plays loudly. An argument breaks out.

Suddenly, A falls from the sky and lands between them.

, bad!

A new performance starts, this time with A as the singer. But they perform badly—literally, because of accidental word magic.

B claims she can play drums better than D… behind her back. She turns around, making her “b” resemble a “d”, and tries to drum. But she hits too hard and breaks the drumsticks. D, now unable to play, walks off the stage heartbroken. A also exits to avoid the conflict.

B thinks of a solution: she invites the audience to play with her.

Who’s ready to boogie?[]

  • BUG – B bops with a bug before U shoos it away.
  • BUS – B bops with a bus.
  • BIN (star word) – B bops with a trash bin, but it doesn’t work out for her. That’s until, D makes a comeback on stage!

It turns out D has many drumsticks! She notices the trash bin and uses it like a steelpan. Now B and D play in perfect harmony. O and P join the stage and hold hands with B.

Everyone begins to dance! B shouts, “Let’s hear it for the daring, the dramatic, the dazzling D on drums!” The crowd cheers.

D follows up: “Give it up for the brilliant, the beautiful, the best ever B on bass!”

All the Alphablocks shout, “Hooray!” as the episode ends.
