With the success of any popular media franchise, bootlegs, also known as fakes, counterfeits, and knock-offs, usually follow suit. The Learningblocks franchise is no stranger to this. Here is a list of all of the known bootleg merchandise of Alphablocks, Numberblocks, Colourblocks and Wonderblocks..

Note that things must come after the release of Learningblocks shows for it to be bootleg. For example, the franchise of Dragonbox, consisting of Dragonbox Numbers and Dragonbox Big Numbers are not a Numberblocks bootleg. Dragonbox Numbers was produced before Numberblocks came into the public eye; and even though Big Numbers came out during Numberblocks' production stage, it took off of Dragonbox Numbers, not Numberblocks.

Self-explanatory, but fan-content inspiring Learningblocks stuff and things like Numbershows in general are NOT bootlegs.

Alphablocks Bootlegs[]

Cakes and Cake Toppers[]

There were several Alphablock-related cakes that were not manufactured by Alphablocks Ltd, nor BlueZoo. Some of the cakes are pretty inaccurate and often show Alphablocks with the wrong Alphalings. Some cakes even feature generic Alphablocks who have no resemblance to the actual ones.


Plushies[]

In 2020, a set of unlicensed Alphablocks plushies that were not manufactured by Alphablocks Ltd or Blue Zoo were discovered.

The plushies have many inaccuracies, such as:

  • A's stripes being a darker green
  • C's glass not being cracked
  • E's stripes being a lighter red
  • G's grass being the same colour as her skin
  • I missing her vowel stripes
  • J being a darker blue
  • L being a lighter pink
  • M missing his chef hat
  • P's colours being pale
  • R missing her pirate hat
  • T missing his hat
  • U missing his hat
  • V missing his helmet
  • W having no water on his glass
  • X's letter thing is capital
  • Some of their letters looking strange
  • And many more

Numberblocks Bootlegs[]

Cakes and Cake Toppers[]

There were several Alphablock-related cakes that were not manufactured by Alphablocks Ltd, nor BlueZoo. Some of the cakes are pretty inaccurate and usually feature Numberblocks with the wrong colours and wrong amount of blocks.


Plushies[]

Sometime in 2021, bootleg Numberblocks plushies appeared on shopping sites like AliExpress, Amazon, Etsy and eBay.

The plushies were of the Numberblocks from 1-10, and have some inaccuracies, such as One's pupil being too big, one of the Sevens having a weird yellow semi-circle on the back of his top block[1], one of the Tens having no gloves, and Five just generally looking deformed.

There are actually two different variations of the Numberblocks from 5-10. The plushies also are sold at some malls. Arguably, the second version of the plushies are better than the first, because they are more accurate to the show‘s designs, and they look less sloppy.

Colouring Books[]

Somewhere in 2021, a little after the plushies, several knock-off Numberblocks colouring books appeared on Amazon, featuring things ranging from stock Numberblock poses, to Scratch sprites of the Numberblocks. Some books even went as far as taking people's fanmade Numberblock designs without their permission.

Games[]

Just like with plushies and books, there exist a few bootleg Numberblocks games/apps that appear on the App Store. They essentially either steal, or plagiarize the Numberblocks characters and use them.

Little Panda's Block World[]

Little Panda's Block World, a game made by BabyBus, features bootlegs of the Numberblocks characters from 1 to 10, with some details taken from Dragonbox Numbers, with the characters being in a definite shape like them, activities like the Ladder one, and 11+ being compound. The Four in the game looks very similar to the actual Four, but with round eyes, while the Five in the game looks similar to both the actual Five and Fifty. The One is yellow but it's still a cyclops, the Two is red but still has glasses, albeit different, while everyone else looks completely different.

There is a puzzle where 1-5 make a step shape, like a step squad. The former name of the game included the word Numberblocks outright.

Number Cubes[]

Merge Number Cube: Fam Run, a game made by ABI Global LTD, is a simple merge game which features character designs that very much resemble several Numberblocks, except that they are in different colours and they look excessively bland. it appears that there are two different Numberblock teams: melee and ranger, representing each number instead of one. In some levels, various Non-Numberblocks characters such as Huggy Wuggy, Rainbow friends, etc. are shown. There's also a different version of the game with Mike Salcedo's Alphabet Lore characters instead of Numberblocks. The game glitches at Level 48 for unknown reasons.

Number Cube Amaze Room[]

It is like Number Cube Merge Run, but there are Melee and Ranger versions of Numberblocks 11-16, with there being one version of Seventeen. You can play any character from 1-17. You have to destroy the other Numberblocks to get points, like a Three with 63 points kills a Four with 7 points, the Three will get 70 points. The player must destroy everyone to win and earn new numbers.

Magworld[]

Magworld features knockoff versions of the Numberblocks in one advertisement, with Two and Three having lips shaped like actual numbers, Four, Five, and Six having numbers as eyes, and Seven having no hair, block colors reversed, bottom block being black, and a nose shaped like an actual number.

Numberblocks Alphablocks[]

Numberblocks Alphablocks, is a mobile app created by Apple developer Farouk Elsayed. The app icon currently reuses the 2024 christmas icon of the official Numberblocks YouTube channel. It is a streaming app that steals one of the videos created by the official YouTube channel of Numberblocks. The app has a subscription service ranging from £3.99 per month and £9.99 per year.

There is a canvas/blanket object featuring Six, rather squished, having thin limbs and the Numberling being the wrong font.

Colourblocks Bootlegs[]

Colouring App[]

On June 3, 2023, there was a bootleg colouring Colourblocks App. The app stole random Colourblocks images that are found on Google. Three months later, the app changed from colouring Colourblocks to colouring airplanes, likely due to copyright reasons.

Just like with Alphablocks and Numberblocks, bootleg plushies of Colourblocks exist. However the only plushies that exist right now are Blue and Pink.

Trivia[]

  • Despite Numberblocks first airing in January of 2017, most of the bootlegs (namely the plushies and books) weren't created until 2021. The cause of this remains a mystery.
    • It's is possibly because the show got more and more popular over time, especially during lockdown.
  • There aren't just bootleg merch or apps, there are also lots of fake Numberblocks animations on YouTube.
    • One user, Toonblocks, is a big example of this, as they created several Numberblocks animations that started out rather bad, but got increasingly better over time to the point where the very recent videos began resembling official Numberblocks episodes in terms of design accuracy, animation and even voice acting. Toonblocks was eventually threatened with termination, presumably either because Toonblocks' Numberblocks videos would often be confused with official Numberblocks videos, or because the videos spontaneously used several audio clips from Learningblocks without credit.
      • Toonblocks later got terminated, but later came back as ToonLore (a fan channel themed around Alphabet Lore and Number Lore, a series created by Mike Salcedo) and Wonderland (a channel with a similar concept to Alphabet Lore except more child-friendly and bearing some inspiration from Numberblocks, and to some extent Numberjacks.)
    • A user known as Super Smart Club makes Number Lore videos where 0-10 reuse Numberblocks colours. However, the later videos use the official Number Lore 1-3 designs (1 is blue, 2 is yellow and 3 is red)
    • A kids YouTuber named Lamba Lamby makes videos about Numberblocks, which includes the family building a Numberblocks treehouse, and two videos that use the same song about building pop-it Numberblocks (the pop-it in question was Seventy).
  • Official plushies of the Numberblocks would eventually release that are more accurate to their official designs.
