==Background==
It was founded in 2000 by [[Adam Shaw]], [[Oli Hyatt]], and [[Tom Box]] while they were studying animation together at Bournemouth University. On top of Learningblocks, Blue-Zoo also produces several other series. This includes three 2D animated ones and the non-British Disney series Goldie & Bear. They have received many awards for their work in children's animation, as well as being the Winner of Best Place to Work in TV in 2019 and 2020. 

Blue-Zoo Productions operates from a studio in Fitzrovia, London.  where they have a team of over 100 artists. They also opened a new studio in March of 2019, working alongside the main studio, that specializes in their 2D animated shows. Their website states that they had planned to open a third studio in 2020, but this may have been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
