Me Blockzilla! Me like big things.

— Blockzilla, Blockzilla

Blockzilla, also known as Blockzee[1], is a giant, green monster who has number comparison signs (</>/=) for a mouth. She is voiced by Beth Chalmers.

Appearance[]

Blockzilla is a massive, green monster who resembles a cross between a dinosaur and a lizard.

She has a rather round-shaped body with two yellow-tinted eyes on top, with small black pupils and green floating eyebrows. She also has olive frills on the sides of her body, and two nostrils. Her main defining feature is the big black lips on her wide, gaping mouth, which resemble the number comparison signs (</>/=). When Blockzilla switches to the equals sign, the top and lower portions of her body become disembodied, with the top part floating.

Blockzilla is mostly seen half-buried in the ground, but whenever she isn't in the ground she has green arms and legs with red claws, and a long green tail.

In the finale of the fourth season, More To Explore, Blockzilla appears much larger than her original size, but in Series 6, she is back to her original size.

Personality[]

Blockzilla loves big things, because that's what she loves to play with (i.e. 2 < 3, so Blockzilla will play with Three.)

As soon as she sees two numbers, she indicates which number is greater and which is less.

She also talks in broken English, referring to herself by her name or "me" instead of "I", as well as using very simple words for verbs (without suffixes)

In Feeding Time, it’s revealed that she can act rather immature and childish, suggesting she may be younger than she looks.

Trivia[]

  • Her name is a parody of Godzilla, a fictional monster who is well-known in pop culture.
  • In 2023, the character began being referred to as Blockzee, which confused many fans of the show who thought that the character was being renamed. Eventually, the episode Feeding Time confirmed "Blockzee" to be a nickname.[2][3][4]
    • The nickname was also copyrighted in October 2023.
  • Blockzilla has had the longest gap between her appearances, being absent for 42 episodes in a row between More to Explore and Feeding Time.
    • She has an even longer gap between both episodes where she has a major role, being 100 episodes between Blockzilla and Feeding Time.
  • Blockzilla is implied to live underground, which could be why she comes out of the ground in her debut.
  • Blockzilla is one of the few characters to be fully animated in 2-D.
