Trivia
- This series and the last are similar to Numberblocks series 6 and 7.
- The series have different themes. Alphablocks Series 5 teaches the absolute basics of phonics and spelling, including letter sounds, short vowels, word families, and ultimately CVC words (with the exception of one episode that teaches letter teams). Series 6, meanwhile, teaches more advanced phonics and spellings concepts, including letter teams, alternate sounds for the same spelling, morphology, and tricky words.
- Because of this, they are two different series, like Numberblocks Series 6 and 7.
- Tiernan Douieb has written four episodes in the season, and two musical ones.
- This series is similar to the previous ones, because random creatures come out (like the Snowman), learn letter blends, and have the majority of the episodes be one-word titles.
- The main difference just happens to having groups of 5 episodes, like the previous season.
- Since this series, there are 358 Learningblocks episodes, including the Specials.
- Capital letters make their return in this season, and letter names are touched upon (and not their sounds).[6]
